Vriska Serket comes from a line of Skaia Academy alumni, and is probably the most polarizing student ever to attend. Her popularity (or infamy, depending on who you ask) reaches all four schools, as do her activities. She is an excellent fencer, a huge fan of role-playing, and has aspirations towards student government. If there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s this: if there’s something going on, Vriska will want a part in it.
“My finger will 8e in all the pies. Allllllll of them.”

Nepeta is 4 feet 10 inches of pure activity. She’s a rising star on the cross country team, plans to participate in a drama department production every semester, and is the president of the Tabletop Roleplaying club. This little Muslimah always carries a spare hijab—hers often gets torn when she goes to play with the stray cats on campus.
Don’t fuck around with her or Zahhak will kick your ass.
Skaia Academy is a secular and coeducational boarding school. Due to our sponsorship by the XXXX, we are able to offer the boarding school experience with no fees for room, board, or courses. Our campus is located in the mountains of XXXXXXX, not far from XXXXXX, where students sometimes go for day trips. We are home to approximately one thousand students from the sixth to the twelfth grade, with a student to staff ratio of about one to eight. With our most recent renovations, our facilities are the most advanced in the state. New admissions are accepted by lottery.
Skaia hosts four “schools within a school” which students enter when they reach the ninth grade. “Core” courses such as English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science are taught in the same sequence. However, each School has its own focus and style. In addition, each School also has unique elective courses. (See our course catalog for details.) Students are expected to remain in their program of choice until graduation.
- Alphaea School has a curriculum modeled on that of the old Alphaea Academy, once located on this campus. Their traditional teaching style is the same as the one that produced fine ladies and gentlemen for almost a century. Its time-tested curriculum includes electives such as Latin, Etiquette, and Classics.
- Murray School strives to foster the creativity of each and every one of its students. This school develops students’ expression and imagination, crucial factors in a rapidly-shifting world. In addition to our core program, students may take courses including Creative Writing, Drama, and Painting.
- Wesley School is the forerunner in science and mathematics. Students of the Wesley school are held to the highest of standards, with courses focusing on critical thinking and logic. Some of its advanced electives include Computer Programming, Biochemistry, and Calculus-Based Statistics.
- Augustus School prepares students for leadership positions in an increasingly globalized world. Some of its unique course offerings include Political Science, Economics, and Intercultural Communication.
Open Houses are scheduled during the Spring and Fall semesters. For a private tour, contact the main office at XXX-XXX-XXXX.
